Psychology
It offers individual support to students facing psycho-affective, family, and social challenges, including symptoms of anxiety and depression, substance use, emotional imbalances, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, decision-making challenges, and social skills development. The goal is to provide guidance and counseling to promote the well-being and mental health of the university community.

Psychopedagogy

Accident Policy
The University offers an accident insurance policy through an insurance company for students who pay a premium to receive coverage for contingencies. All students required to travel for teaching practice or to participate in cultural, academic, or sporting events on behalf of the University must be covered by this policy. Additionally, students with practical or sports-related subjects in their curriculum must also be insured.

STUDENT MAINTENANCE
Assistance
This program is intended for the payment of housing leases or transportation for low-income undergraduate students.
Requirements: Students must be enrolled in at least 11 credits, have no active disciplinary sanctions, and must not exceed the maximum number of academic periods allowed at the regional campus, according to the corresponding study plan.

Assistantships correspond to support tasks that undergraduate students can perform in the administrative offices.
Requirements: First level approved, GPA 3.2, no other Students’ part time jobs, not having been sanctioned.
Pay: 1 current minimum monthly salary per semester for 120 hours of work.

Distinguished Students

A discount on the base tuition fee of 25%, 50%, or 100% is applied to students who obtain the highest grade point average in the academic program in which they are enrolled.
SIBLING

When a parent has several children simultaneously pursuing academic programs in-person or in-person modality, in any of the Regional Campuses or Campus centers of the UIS, will be entitled to the following discounts on the value of tuition fees:
- For two (2) children, 20%.
- For three (3) or more children, 30%.
DISCOUNT FOR SOCIAL WELFARE
Program for UIS Employees
.
In accordance with current provisions, the Superior Council established a social welfare system for UIS employees and their beneficiaries: spouse or permanent partner, sons and daughters of UIS employees enrolled in undergraduate, academic, administrative and social projection programs of the University.
The university grants a subsidy of 90% of the tuition and in return, the student agrees to work a total of 32 semester hours per semester in academic or administrative work according to the needs of the requesting academic administrative unit, without establishing any employment relationship.
STIMULUS FOR
Sport Participation
.
This discount applies to those students who participate in national sports events endorsed by ASCUNDEPORTES or by the Federations of each sport and who obtain a gold medal, an exemption of 100% of the base value of the tuition, 90% for those who obtain a silver medal and 80% for those who obtain a bronze medal. The exemption will be maintained during the term in which they keep the TITLE of the sport recognition.
VOTING

Students who participate in the different electoral processes by exercising their right to vote receive a 10% discount on the base tuition fee.

This financial tuition reimbursement process allows students who present changes in their family’s socioeconomic dynamics to request a study of their urgent situation in order to obtain a temporary or definitive discount in the base tuition amount, or in certain cases, to change the settlement factor.

The Universidad Industrial de Santander has implemented its Gender Equity Policy and the Protocol for Addressing Acts of Gender-Based Violence, which aims to establish measures for care, assistance, monitoring, and referral of gender-based violence incidents that occur in any physical or virtual space, within or outside the institution, as part of its mission-related activities.
The protocol can be activated by the person who considers themselves a victim of gender-based violence or by a third party who, as a witness or having knowledge of such an event, wishes to refer the case so the victim can receive support. All members of the UIS community (students, administrative staff, and teachers) who have experienced gender-based violence are eligible for assistance.
